Privacy

Privacy, in plain words.

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This site has no forms, no cookies and no advertising trackers. It counts visits without knowing who you are. If you write or book a call, what you share is used only to answer you and, if we work together, for the project.

Who is responsible

The data controller (the person responsible for your data under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) is Matin Azad Milani, digital project lead, Messina, Italy. Contact: matinazadmilani@gmail.com.

When you visit

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare handles technical data such as your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for, and keeps it only for a short time.

Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you: it shows how many people visit and which pages they read, never who they are.

The legal basis is a legitimate interest in running a site that works and is safe (article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies and your browser

No cookies are set by this site. While the tab is open, the site keeps one number in your browser's session storage: the moment your visit started, so the sun stays where it was if you reload the page. It is deleted when you close the tab and is never sent anywhere.

When you get in touch

If you write by email or WhatsApp, or book a call, the details you share (your name, email address or phone number, your message) are used to answer you and, if we work together, to prepare and run the project. Mail sent to an address at matinmilani.com is passed on by Cloudflare to the same inbox.

The legal basis is the steps you ask for before an agreement and the agreement itself (article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and a legitimate interest in answering you (article 6(1)(f)).

Messages are kept for as long as the conversation and any project last; the records of paid work are then kept for as long as Italian tax and accounting rules require.

Services from other companies

Getting in touch goes through services that have their own privacy rules: Calendly (Calendly LLC) for booking a call, Google Meet for the call, Gmail (Google) for email, and WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland, part of Meta). The links to LinkedIn and Instagram take you to their sites, where their own policies apply. Some of these companies may handle data outside the European Union, with the safeguards the GDPR requires.

Nothing is sold

Your data is never sold, rented or used for advertising, and it is shared with no one beyond the services named here.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data held about you, to correct it or delete it, to limit or object to its use, and to receive it in a form you can take elsewhere (articles 15 to 22 GDPR). Write to matinazadmilani@gmail.com; you get an answer within one month.

You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
